Position
The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for a broad range of administrative tasks that support UpBeat’s back office and programmatic operations. Tasks will include:
Communications with program participant families
Data entry and database management
Grant management and financial reporting
Email correspondence
Event planning and coordination
Light bookkeeping
The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for creating new administrative systems, and improving existing systems, to enhance the work of the organization. The Administrative Coordinator will also support new initiatives, such as the expansion of UpBeat NYC’s teacher training and recruitment program.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Bilingual in Spanish/English highly preferred
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team skills
Ability to problem-solve and take initiative
A proactive, detail-oriented approach to job responsibilities
Enthusiasm for UpBeat NYC’s mission and values including a strong interest in community building and social justice
Schedule
Depending on the candidate and our organization’s needs, this position can be full-time or part-time. The schedule will include normal business hours as well as occasional evening and weekend hours to support special events.
Location
UpBeat NYC offers flexibility. Work can be completed both at home and at UpBeat NYC’s program sites in the South Bronx.
Compensation
Hourly rate will be commensurate with experience.
