Administrator and Financial Coordinator – Common Ground Wellness Center – Portland, OR

Common Ground Wellness Center is looking for an Administrator and Financial Coordinator that is responsible for the general financial health of the organization. An ideal candidate will have experience working for both a non-profit and retail organizations, cooperatives a plus. Strong experience with Quickbooks Online, excel skills and cloud based point of sales systems a plus. Ability to multi-task and assist multiple departments with their financial needs a must.

Common Ground Wellness Cooperative provides a full spectrum of healing opportunities for mind and body through our bathhouse and various practitioners in the Alberta Arts neighborhood in Portland, Oregon.

Our mission: to provide an urban cooperative community wellness center committed to integrated healing and ecological responsibility.

Position Details:

25 to 32 hours per week

Weekly till and bank deposit duties

Coordinate practitioner payouts

Run bi-weekly payroll

Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable management

Daily updates to Quickbooks Online and use/understanding of class category based entries

Monthly reconciliation of accounts

Attend and participate in staff meetings, staff/practitioner meetings, team/department meetings, and other meetings as needed.

Ensure at least one other person is cross-trained in job responsibilities.

Liason with Co-op Development Committee

Liason with Training and Culture Development Committee as needed

Liason with Merchandising Committee

Prepare monthly financial reports for Board and Staff meetings

Prepare annual budgets and revolving cash flow reports

Understand liability accounts (credit cards and loans) and coordinate refinancing when necessary

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

At least 4 years of organizational bookkeeping experience

Excellent financial management, coordination, budgeting and administration skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Hard-working, self-disciplined, and able to work well under pressure

Excellent direct communication skills and ability to manage expectations.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, including follow-through and tracking
