Summary of Duties:
The Assistant Director of Administration & Finance functions as a senior operating officer of a private non-profit corporation.The incumbent assists with the oversight of the implementation of comprehensive Head Start/Early Head Start services, including administration, operations and other areas as appropriate. Leads Plaza’s technical staff to ensure that IT meets the need of the organization. Leads and provides oversight of the Maintenance and Operations Department to ensure sites meet state, federal and local licensing requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance or related field with strong background in accounting and financial management; Master’s degree or C.P.A. highly preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of progressive management experience; must have at least 5 years experience in non-profit or government-funded programs, Head Start preferred. Must have experience management and advance coursework in accounting policies and procedures.
