The CFO, in partnership with the CEO, will work closely with staff and members of the Board of Directors to ensure the strong financial position of the organization. The CFO is also responsible for the management of all finance, accounting, and IT staff and functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Develop, maintain, and monitor annual budget and key performance indicators
Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
Maintain investment, endowment, and risk management portfolios
Ensure contract compliance across all funding streams
Manage Finance, Accounting, and IT staff
Coordinate annual agency audit, as well as audits of individual programs
Attend meetings of the Board to report on financial planning and progress
As a partner on the senior management team, provide strategic input and leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
Financial management experience in the public interest or nonprofit sectors preferred
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting or finance
BA/BS from an accredited university required; MBA/CPA highly preferred
Excellent command of GAAP procedures
Proficiency in Blackbaud accounting software or other similar software platforms
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and partner with staff
