The Child Development Center, a non-profit agency serving children with development disabilities and their families, is looking to hire a Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Controller to serve in a hands-on role managing the Finance function and assuming a strategic role in the overall management of the company. This position will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. The CFO will work closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and will be a member of the Leadership Team.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Controller will implement the infrastructure/systems needed to support substantial growth over the next five years. This is a hands-on position which includes oversight responsibilities but also day to day involvement in transactions. The CFO/Controller will continue to build and manage effective and streamlined administrative/financial systems, including accounting, legal, information technology (IT), and physical infrastructure. As a member of the Leadership Team, the CFO/Controller will be involved in strategic planning, evaluation, and professional development initiatives as well as overall management of operations as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, investing and protecting resources, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.
Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.
2) 7+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in nonprofit management and fund accounting. Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures and FASB regulation in the nonprofit setting. Understanding of charitable solicitation regulations.
3)Experience with MIP Fund Accounting, Sage Fund Accounting, Excel, Harvest, or Office Ally preferred.
