Chief Financial, Operations, and Human Resources Officer – National Abortion Federation – Washington, DC

The NAF Hotline Fund (NAF HLF) has an immediate opening for a Chief Financial, Operations, and Human Resources Officer.

The Chief Financial, Operations, and Human Resources Officer is responsible for overall administration and management of the finances, human resources, and other internal operations of the NAF HLF. Areas of responsibility include Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and Information Technology¸ including databases. The Chief Financial, Operations, and Human Resources Officer reports directly to the President & CEO and is part of the senior management team.

Duties:

Directs and manages overall financial policies and accounting practices, including annual budget preparation, annual audit, production of tax return, monthly budget reconciliation, and financial reports to funders;
Directs and manages overall personnel policies and practices, including staff recruitment, orientation, and evaluation; timesheets, benefits, and payroll; employee relations; and training and development;
Develops systems to ensure efficient record keeping and accountability for all financial, personnel, IT, and other internal administrative functions;
Oversees on-going development and operation of financial and CRM databases;
Oversees staff and program work plan development as part of budget development and oversight;
Leads staff in developing and implementing plans for operational systems and processes;
With General Counsel, ensures compliance with labor and employment laws;
Fosters cooperative working climate conducive to maximum employee morale and productivity;
Supervises NAF HLF management staff, Finance & Accounting staff, and IT staff; and
Serves as liaison with building maintenance.

Qualifications:

Strong commitment to a woman’s right to choose abortion;
Ten or more years of senior executive management experience in non-profit organizations;
Financial management experience in mid-size to large non-profit organizations;
Human Resources experience in organizations with at least 50 employees;
Proven ability to lead staff to accomplish program goals; and
Excellent organizational and written and oral communications skills.
