Development and Fundraising Officer – International Organization – Thriive Inc – Ketchum, ID

Thriive is seeking a Development and Fundraising Officer to work remotely in Seattle, WA.

Thriive is building prosperity in vulnerable global communities.

We do this by blending two important components: Capital and Compassion.

We provide ThriiveCapital for production equipment to viable small business entrepreneurs (coupled with technical support), helping to create new jobs and increase incomes.

Compassion is the basis for our dynamic ThriiveCapital system, where businesses repay (or pay forward) through their businesses, equivalent donations of products and/or job training to community members in need. The majority of entrepreneurs are so inspired by the impact their gifts have on others that they continue to give, transforming themselves from someone in need to someone whose donations help fortify their community. In this way, business growth becomes tied to practicing social responsibility and assisting the less fortunate. By spreading greater prosperity and employment, Thriive contributes to alleviating poverty and making vulnerable global communities more resilient.

Thriive’s 2014 budget was 1.25M with 3 US-based staff (working in Boise and Sun Valley, Idaho) and 1 foreign-based staff (working in Managua, Nicaragua), overseeing 15 international managers running 5 programs in Vietnam, Kenya, Palestine, and Nicaragua. We are soon to add a program in Guatemala. Thriive’s 2015 revenue goals include 40% raised from private foundations and 60% from individuals. Salary begins at $42,000 DOE with great benefits.
