Development Coordinator- Advancement Department
With the support of the CEO and an engaged, mission driven Board of Trustees, the Advancement team ensures the financial strength and sustainability of HOBY and deepens partnerships with a diverse portfolio of public, private and alumni supporters.
The Development Coordinator is responsible for expanding HOBY’s by providing technical support to the organizational fundraising strategy and fundraising plan; and, providing administrative support to the current fund raising activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS—.
Conduct donor prospect research using HOBY data in Alumni Manager and DonorPerfect, LinkedIn, Wealth Engine and other tools;
Prepare briefing materials on donor prospects for senior staff and Board of Trustees members in advance of meetings;
Conduct research to find “lost” alumni and update contact information in Alumni Manager and DonorPerfect;
Support Director of Individual Giving and Alumni Relations with execution of individual donor program, including direct appeals, monthly giving club, peer-to-peer fundraising opportunities and more;
Provide logistical support for fundraising events and alumni programming;
Conduct research to identify corporate and foundation prospects;
Assist with grant reporting process and documentation;
Oversee workplace giving campaigns by communicating with organizers, providing materials and coordinating volunteer participation in tabling events when possible;
Produce and distribute all donor acknowledgements;
Maintain donor and prospect records in DonorPerfect database;
Assist Bookkeeper with reconciliation of gift records as needed;
Perform other Administrative support tasks as required. .
Competency or position requirements—
You will have 2 years of fundraising or fundraising support experience;
Strong administrative skills including word processing, data management and Excel;
Experience with DonorPerfect and Wealth Engine or similar fundraising database software;
Outstanding writing and editing skills;
An understanding of strong alumni relations;
Organized and timely in all your work;
Very detail-oriented;
An entrepreneurial spirit;
A hard worker with team spirit.
