Re:Vision is seeking an non-profit development professional who has at least 3 years-experience supporting or managing fundraising efforts for small to mid-size non-profit organizations.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Development Director will maintain and grow Re:Vision’s organizational budget of $2M+ through grant writing, grant management, individual donor cultivation, corporate philanthropy and fundraising event execution and will oversee a $6M+ capital campaign for the Westwood Food Cooperative development project, to be completed by 2017. The Development Director will also work closely with Re:Vision’s public relations staff on donor outreach and communications and with programs staff on aligning funding opportunities and evaluation requirements with program design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Capital Campaign – 30%
Work with Capital Campaign team to raise $6M+ for Food Co-op development project, with goal of securing 100 percent of funding by 2017.
Projecting revenue for project management team and board of directors.
Grant Writing – 30%
Identify local and national funding opportunities, including public and private funders, and take lead on writing proposals for both organizational and capital campaign opportunities.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key partners and funders.
Maintain funder database, including funding cycles, areas of funding, and reporting requirements.
Oversee grant reporting requirements for all funders and ensure reports are submitted on time.
Private Individual Donor Cultivation – 20%
Oversee donor acquisition and cultivation strategy, including a moves management plan, for low, medium, and high-net worth individuals.
Increase one-time giving and recurring donations.
Improve donor engagement by developing private events, farm tours, and one-on-one meetings to share progress and impact of programs, organizational successes, fundraising campaigns.
Work with marketing team to develop and execute fundraising campaigns eg. direct mail pieces, recurring monthly donors, holiday gift catalogue, giving circles, and track success of each campaign.
Invite donors to participate in volunteer opportunities, special events, and local events.
Maintain Salesforce donor database, including donor interests, personal info, and donation and contact history.
Events – 10%
Work with marketing and fundraising committees to plan and execute 2-3 annual social gatherings for partners, funders, and community members.
Plan and execute 1 -2 annual fundraising events.
Corporate Philanthropy – 10%
Work with marketing team to identify corporate philanthropy leads.
Build relationships and partnerships with local and national companies.
Assist in securing corporate sponsorships.
Cultivate recognition for corporate partners.

Professional Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, nonprofit management and/or administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, ideally in an “in-house” leadership role and/or in similar nonprofit leadership position.
Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with donors and grant makers.
Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan that includes a blend of grants, individual donors, corporate sponsors and fundraising events.
A strong track record of positioning an organization to achieve tangible outcomes in a competitive fundraising environment.
Ability to coach and support staff, board, and volunteers as spokespersons.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines, completing projects on time and on budget, including managing teams of professional staff and volunteers.
Additional Professional Qualifications (Preferred)
A working knowledge of SalesForce
Proficiency in Spanish is required and fluency preferred.
