REPORTING TO: Executive Director
POSITION:
The Finance Director will have the primary responsibility for planning, implementing, and managing all financial related activities of the agency, including budgeting, grant management and reporting, cash-flow analysis, banking, audit, and other essential functions. In addition, the Finance Director will be responsible for leading, overseeing and implementing the human resource, IT, insurance and administrative processes and systems of the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts.
The Finance Director should poses demonstrated supervisory skills including coaching, team-building, staff development/engagement and performance improvement, and have experience in fiscal analysis, planning and financial administration of a multi-million dollar budget.
This leadership position will report to the Executive Director and will also serve as a primary liaison to the Finance Committee and sub- committees of the Board of Trustees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare annual operating budget including cash flow projections and reporting . Advise and support department managers and directors with budgets, grant oversight and financial reporting.
Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities including reports to funding agencies, and development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets.
Prepare and present monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, yearend projections and distribute to Finance Committee and staff.
Oversee the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts endowment assets as managed by an independent professional investment firm, in coordination with the finance and endowment committees
Develop and monitor internal controls, policies and procedures
Ensure finance staff maintains the financial record systems in accordance with GAAP, and monitor the use of all funds
Serve as key organization liaison to accounting firms, insurance firms, financial institutions and legal counsel who conduct business with the Broadway Center.
The Director of Finance will also ensure that the finance, accounting, human resources, and IT systems are aligned and efficient.
Oversee payroll and HR compliance, and maintain all employee personnel files.
Orient, implement and report out regarding the personnel manual and all personnel policies.
Participate as a member of the Human Resource Committee
Work with Board, attorney, and insurance agents on all legal issues and insurance claims.
Review all formal finance, HR, and IT related policies and procedures, processes and administration, recommending improvements to the systems in place and managing the systems going forward
Consult with IT vendor for system’s needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration. Master’s degree a plus.
At least 7-10 years of overall professional experience; ideally 6+ years of not for profit financial management experience, reporting and audit coordination, and has overseen a human resources function.
Experience managing a multiyear, multimillion dollar capital campaign a plus.
SALARY:
Annual salary will be commensurate with experience and will be supplemented by a comprehensive benefits and retirement package
