You’re the programs guru. You’re excited to drill down into our program operations and data so that we can develop strategies to improve and expand our services to empower the marginalized in one of the world’s most challenging places.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Development
Working alongside our South Sudanese team, you’ll think strategically to improve and expand our microfinance, education, and spiritual discipleship programs so that we can increase our impact.
You’ll dig into the details to create operational plans to ensure that we are continually working toward our mission to empower entrepreneurs.
You don’t want to reinvent the wheel, so you’ll build relationships with others in the industry and stay up-to-date on best practices and what’s trending in the industry.
Program Execution
You’ll keep a lot of plates spinning. Alongside our South Sudanese leadership team, you’ll oversee and empower our in-country team to make sure we operate with excellence everyday, in every program, and at every location.
You see the need for structure and order, so you’ll analyze our current operations to improve processes and procedures to help things run efficiently and enable us to scale our operations.
Program Measurement and Reporting
You’re data-driven, so you’ll design and implement a system to organize, integrate and analyze performance and financial metrics so that we can learn from our experience and build our operational and strategic plans on empirical information.
You’ll think critically about our programs and the numbers we report. If something doesn’t add up, you’ll ask questions until you’re confident everything is in order.
Staff Development and Mentorship
You’ll lead from behind. Taking a mentorship approach in everything you do, you’ll empower our in-country team to operate and grow our programs.
You’ll make sure we practice what we preach by promoting a Christ-centered work environment that supports employees’ professional and spiritual development and encourages communication and accountability.
THE SKILLS:
You love Jesus and you want to help share His love with others.
You believe in what we do. You think it’s important to care for both the physical and spiritual needs of people, and you think providing access to microfinance, education and discipleship is one of the best ways to do it.
You’re up for a challenge. South Sudan is one of the most difficult places to work in the world. While others shy away, you’re excited to serve where others won’t.
You’re a problem solver. You like to come up with all the possible options, and then determine the best approach to complex and dynamic challenges.
You can’t stay on the surface. You’ll dig-in and analyze the details until you completely understand the issues and are an expert on the topic.
You’re a self-starter. You take initiative and own a project.
You value relationships. You can work collaboratively with others and have an empowering, humble and patient leadership style.
You know numbers. You have a background in microfinance, finance, accounting or economics, and you’re ready to apply those skills to grow our program in South Sudan.
You think technology is awesome. You’re good with databases, MicroFin, Loan Performer and Quickbooks, or you’re confident you can figure them out.
You see the beauty in diversity and have experience adapting to people, cultures and working environments that are different than yours.
