Paws Assisting Veterans (PAVE) is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organization to the next level. PAVE raises, trains, and places service dogs with veterans free of charge.

The Executive Director will work closely with the board, staff, volunteers, clients and outside agencies and organizations.

Responsibilities:

Organize and administer data base for all records
Develop and foster relationships with private and corporate sponsors and donors
Manage PR and promotional campaigns for PAVE
Shepherd the professional accreditation process for PAVE
Provide communications before and after placement of service dogs
Manage finances and administrative work
Maintain and expand sustainable funding
Implement presentations about PAVE to interested parties
Provide leadership, development and implementation of strategic plan
Grant writing
Other duties as needed

Have nonprofit, grant writing, and fundraising experience
Bring strong communication skills
Have good time management skills
Prioritize multiple tasks and projects
Occasional evening and weekends work required

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
Experience working with veterans
Experience with and/or passion for working with service dogs

Compensation established at $31,500 a year. Benefits include a health insurance stipend ($2,000), paid vacation and sick leave. PAVE is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
