The Fundraising & Event Coordinator is a dynamic and creative fundraiser responsible for securing new sponsors and revenue for the organization. This position is responsible for executing fundraising programs and events, developing relationships with sponsors, donors and businesses and expanding visibility of Cancer Alliance of Naples in the community.
Reports to the Executive Director and works closely with all levels of the team.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Director and Annual Event Chairwomen in setting and executing organizations annual fundraising goals
Assist Annual Event Chairwomen in the Wine, Women & Shoes Signature Luncheon and Gala Evening – ultimately responsible for securing sponsorships, donations and the operational and logistical oversight of the event
Create fundraising opportunities through various techniques including prospecting, targeted follow-up and new sponsorship generation
Ability to deliver organized, structured presentations that are mission driven to potential donors, sponsors and at events if needed
Assist in identifying, recruiting, training and managing temporary volunteers for events and committees
Manage budget for annual fundraising events along with the Event Chair
Represent the organization at external fundraising events
Oversee and participate in the execution of major fundraising programs and events sponsored by the organization as well as those sponsored by outside businesses and community groups
Identify funding opportunities through foundations, donor programs, grant opportunities, and partner events working with the Executive Director to secure funding
Update and manage donor and event database
Ability to communicate with excellent, superb customer focus with donors, event sponsors, businesses and other community groups vital to the organization
Assist in processing donor dollars and event monies following strict policy
Create systems for communication of fundraising initiatives, events and donor activities to share with the team

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two+ years experience in fundraising, corporate development or event management, equivalent combination of education and experience.
● Ability to travel throughout Collier and Lee County – Significant local travel may be required for this position; including visiting local business, and events in public places.
● Strong computer skills and ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results
32k-37k based on experience plus potential annual bonus
