Organization Description
Night of Peace Family Shelter, Inc. provides year-round emergency shelter for homeless families with children in Baltimore County. Our goal is to provide food, shelter, and support in a safe environment while families work to transition into permanent housing. This is a 10 to 15 hour work week position for a minimum of three months.
Job Description
Identify, research, test and develop new fundraising initiatives and opportunities for income generation.
Maximize income from a range of sources including trusts, campaigns, corporates, donors and events.
Develop proposals for projects that could attract new funding.
Prepare applications to charitable trusts and grant-making bodies and manage subsequent reporting and relationships with funding partners.
Help to develop and implement information and communication materials on both traditional and online media particularly the website and on social media focused on fundraising.
Assist the Executive Director in developing a three to five-year fundraising strategy.
Conduct outreach to community organizations and businesses to enhance partnerships
Be available and ready to assist all NOP programs working as a team to achieve organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Undergraduate or Graduate student in Social Work, Public Administration, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or any other related fields.
Relevant experience in social media marketing and significant experience with drafting and editing.
Highly adaptive and has good communication skills.
Able to multitask, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
