San Francisco Playhouse is seeking an experienced Individual Gifts Manager. We are a 12-year old 501(c ) 3 Not-for-profit Theatre Company, operating with a 2.8 million dollar budget. Our programming includes a 6-play mainstage season and a 3-play Sandbox Series of World premieres, and a Rising Star Education Program. Position Overview:

The Individual Gifts Manager’s primary responsibilities include solicitation of Inner Circle and major gifts from new individuals, managing relationshops with and increasing gifts from current donors, and overseeing the successful execution of events and solicitation campaigns. Strong communication skills, broad solicitation experience and the leadership skills to manage collaboration between staff and board members are a must. Experience with “arts” organizations is desired.

Key Responsibilities:

The Individual Gifts Manager will report to the Artistic Director , while working in collaboration with the Board of Directors’ Development Committee to:

Manage and serve as chief fundraiser for Inner Circle Campaign ($1K+)
Manage research for new prospects for Inner Circle and Major Fundraising Campaigns
Coordinate with Producing Director and Staff for Fundraising Events
Liaison with Board Development Committee Chair to help board develop new cultivation targets
Coordinate with Grants Manager and Development Associate on other Fundraising Tactics
Collaborate with Producing and Artistic Directors to determine overall fundraising goals for the year and develop an appropriate expense budget to achieve the goals
Represent the organization at events (major donor functions, receptions, community events, etc.)
Help prepare fundraising reports for the Board of Directors
Responsible for accurate, reliable and timely donor information management, including gift processing and acknowledgement, donor prospecting and research, and active management and tracking of donor records.

Desired Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on fundraising experience
Weekend and Evening Availability Required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Virtual Box Office and DonorSearch.
