Major Gifts Officer – Dallas – American Civil Liberties Union of Texas

The ACLU of Texas is seeking a Major Gifts Officer for our Dallas office. The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and growing the individual major donor program for the region. The major gifts officer is responsible for direct solicitation of gifts as well as for coordinating senior staff for additional involvement in solicitation and cultivation.

Job Status: Full time
Reporting to the Director of Development

Major responsibilities
Manage the individual donor program
Solicit large gifts on behalf of the organization
Manage relationships with donors and donor prospects
Maintain accountability for administrative systems and procedures
Coordinate with the Director of Development to develop strategy plans, prospect lists, schedule donor meetings and generate requests.
Compensation: Salary based on experience. Excellent benefits include generous vacation and sick leave; 100 percent paid medical and dental insurance premiums for staff members and 50 percent of the premiums for their eligible dependents; life, accidental death and dismemberment, short- and long-term disability insurance; defined contribution plan with employer match; and paid holidays.
