The Organization: Ann’s Place is a compassionate cancer support non-profit organization located in Danbury, CT.

Position Description: The Marketing Communications Specialist is a full time salaried position with Ann’s Place. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and implement a highly effective revenue generating marketing communications (including social media) strategy that will promote the organization and its services to achieve the vision, mission, goals and objectives of Ann’s Place.

Marketing Communications:
Working closely with the President/CEO, Development Director, Clinical Director, Event Specialist and the Manager of Accounting and Contracts create and implement an overall marketing communications strategy, including how to utilize social media that will support the goals of Ann’s Place.
Create and produce relevant marketing communications in various forms (print, online, video, etc.) for a wide variety of audiences (donors, volunteers, clients) and events. This includes copy writing, photography, video integration, fact sheets and activity/event calendar updates.
Monitor effectiveness of various marketing communications activities and make necessary changes to enhance effectiveness by responding to feedback.
Create presentations/speeches for President & CEO and other staff/volunteers for various audiences.
Represent Ann’s Place in community events as needed.

Website and Social Media:
Ensure that Ann’s Place website provides compelling, user friendly and up-to-date content that inspires engagement from clients, donors and volunteers.
Implement and maintain third party web services that link to Ann’s Place infrastructure (i.e Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, Event Brite, Square, e-Processing Network, Crowd Rise, etc.)
Grow following on social media (more clicks & likes) to expand Ann’s Place presence and ability to increase donors and volunteers in the community.
Create and adapt relevant content for each specific network of social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube, etc.) and generate multiple iterations for post copy to maintain refreshed messaging.
Maintain an on-line up-to-date activity/event calendar.
Track usage of website & social media metrics and provide data driven analysis and insights that will enhance fundraising efforts and other business objectives.
Utilize various third party web services to communicate with donors, volunteers, etc. Produce management reports related to online surveys (i.e. Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, etc.)
Maximize and integrate the use of current technology to new technology to increase internal and external efficiency.

Event Support:
Provide marketing communication strategy and produce critical communications/PR and materials for upcoming event promotions.
Participate with other staff members at major fundraising events.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: ·
Bachelor’s degree- Marketing Communications or Related business area
2 – 5 years related experience – Marketing communications, Social Media, journalism, public relations, business
