Operations Manager – Progress Alliance of Washington – Seattle, WA

The Progress Alliance of Washington is looking for an exceptional person to fill our new Operations Manager position. This is a full-time position and requires a diverse set of skills, attributes, and experience. The Operations Manager will work in collaboration with our entire team to support our grant programs, donor events, and internal operations.

The Progress Alliance’s mission is to build a permanent and powerful progressive movement in Washington State across issue areas and over time. We bring together a community of committed donors to makestrategic investments with a fresh approach to politics. Since 2006, we have successfully launched several cross-issue organizations in the state. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Operations and Office Management

Provide general office management and administrative support
Coordinate logistics and materials for board meetings
Manage supplies and equipment maintenance
Coordinate schedules for Deputy and Executive Directors
Work with HR consultants on benefits plans and processing

Update and maintain our website content and design
Create and manage efficient operational systems
Maintain financial records and budget in collaboration with Executive Director
Financial tracking within CiviCRM system, Excel and/or Quickbooks. May work independently or in collaboration with bookkeeper; dependent on experience
Manage all aspects of organizational administration, including technology and database maintenance

Communications and Events

Manage logistics for member events including site coordination, catering and RSVP
Assist in creation of timely member communications
Maintain donor gift records and communications

Work with staff to coordinate communications and event materials, including emails, RSVPs, and newsletters

Team Support

Provide day-to-day assistance to Deputy and Executive Director
Present a professional, welcoming first contact to members and partners at events
Provide support for team coordination: staff travel arrangements, program needs and follow-up on team tasks
Work with staff on small internal IT needs including email, Microsoft suite use and coordination with IT consultants, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE

Operations experience in political, non-profit, and/or grassroots organizations
Administrative and budget management skills
Experience with CiviCRM or equivalent donor management system a plus
Experience with Quicken Quickbooks a plus
Great written communication and editing skills
Systems-thinker with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience with online communication tools including Constant Contact and Survey Monkey
Flexibility to adjust to dynamic work environment
Team oriented with collaborative management style
Proactive, helpful, can-do attitude
Engaging and confident interpersonal style
Experience and cultural proficiency working with diverse communities
Neat, organized, able to work independently and interdependently, with the initiative to achieve complex goals
