PROGRAM ASSISTANT FOR THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF SAN FRANCISCO
This position fills a range of roles needed to manage our nonprofit organization. The Program Assistant position will work under the direction of the Board of Directors on the administrative functions of our organization while working in a self-directed manner using independent judgment.
Position Available: Program Assistant
Position Type: Part-Time, 20-25 hours/week
Compensation: $10-14/hour, depending on experience

Job Description:
Provide administrative support for development and operations
Responsible for tracking inventory of office supplies and ordering as needed
Respond to member, local Leagues, and public inquiries. Answer phones and respond to emails and voicemails, coordinating the transmission of information to appropriate Board member
Manage League calendar and Board roster
Ensure accurate fundraising records and acknowledgements using our database and narrative reports, including coordinating filing of grants and foundation reports.
Assist with fundraising efforts such as direct phone/mail appeal logistics and timelines
Assist with event planning and flexible evening schedule for planned League events
Provide scheduling, meeting prep, and support to the President and Executive Committee
Candidates must be able to work occasional overtime on evenings and weekends
Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Belief in and support of the LWVSF mission of non-partisanship and equal opportunity
Skilled in working with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Google Docs
The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
Ability to learn quickly and integrate and utilize new knowledge
Ability to work independently and in a team, meet deadlines, and take initiative
Patience and flexibility when working with volunteers
Personal enthusiasm, optimism, and a sense of humor
Experience using Microsoft Office tools, and social media such as Twitter and Facebook
Desired Qualifications:
At least one year of office experience
4-year degree preferred but not mandatory, depending on related work experience
High degree of professionalism and ability to develop productive relationships with a broad range of individuals and organizations
Grant writing experience, or willingness to be trained
