Position Overview
Tipping Point Community seeks a smart, enthusiastic go-getter who is passionate about fighting poverty in the Bay Area. The Senior Associate, Development Operations will play a critical role in all areas of development, with a specific focus on management of donor data and our Salesforce database. This position reports to the Development Manager.
Responsibilities
Serve as in-house Salesforce expert for the development team. Manage ongoing team-wide usage of database. Evaluate current systems and identify areas for improvement to support strategic growth. Partner with external vendors to develop systems. Attend Dreamforce and Salesforce trainings and implement best practices learned.
Lead the development team in tracking and analyzing fundraising activity; build compelling monthly dashboards/reports that highlight trends and inform strategic planning throughout the year.
Create and implement best-in-class data processes that allow the team to answer tough questions and execute strategic planning. Proactively identify data needs and create clear and concise reports. Pull and produce clean, workable lists for mailings and events and manage review processes on deadline and with little to no mistakes.
Additional Responsibilities Include
Manage incoming grants to Tipping Point. Partner with program and communications teams to produce compelling content in accordance with Tipping Point’s brand standards. Manage proposal and report deadlines.
Create a positive, seamless customer service experience for Tipping Point donors through interactions related to event attendance, donation processing and general requests for information. Respond to all donor inquiries within 24 hours.
Be the go-to team member for donors, grantees and staff members in need of service-with-a-smile. Manage donor and guest services for Tipping Point’s Annual Benefit. Serve as the main point of contact for questions about the event and manage guest list, donor list and seating.
Support donor engagement through prospect research and meeting preparations for external-facing staff and Board / Leadership Council members.
Assist with the planning and execution of donor cultivation and acknowledgment events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years experience in development, the nonprofit sector or related field
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with donors, volunteers, Board of Directors and staff
Fluency with donor databases, ideally [[http:Salesforce.com|Salesforce.com]]
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and thrive in fast-paced environment
Excellent oral communication and writing skills
Ability to handle sensitive information in confidential manner
Initiative, enthusiasm and a willingness to pitch in at all times
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Local knowledge of the Bay Area philanthropic community a plus
Sense of humor is a must
