Vice President of Advancement
The Eisner Pediatric & Family Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Advancement to provide strong management, innovative strategies and exceptional leadership for all Eisner fundraising initiatives. This position reports to the President and CEO, serves as a key member of the senior management team, and works closely with Board members to develop, direct and execute comprehensive development programs that generate significant philanthropic support from foundations, individuals and corporations.
Founded 95 years ago, Eisner is an integrated and growing community healthcare system based in downtown Los Angeles that provides comprehensive and high-quality medical, dental and mental health care as well as case management services to greater than 34,000 individuals per year. With an October expansion into the San Fernando Valley, Eisner will soon serve 50,000 patients at 16 sites.
The Vice President of Advancement oversees and works collaboratively with a highly competent staff to ensure a diverse annual funding base that includes corporate and foundation funders, major gifts, annual giving, donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, special events and planned giving. The Vice President of Advancement also works with the Board and appropriate Board committees to engage, lead and create proven fundraising efforts.
Additionally, the Vice President of Advancement will lead the effort in raising corporate, foundation and individual gifts in support of a new 5-year capital campaign.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and a record of progressively responsible experience and leadership in fundraising, community engagement, collaboration and people management.
A history of working with key volunteer leaders and boards.
Demonstrated experience managing successful capital campaigns.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Executive-level leadership and management skills, strong facilitation and problem solving skills.
