Artist / Retail Market Program Manager – ARTs East NY – Brooklyn, NY

GENERAL SUMMARY: As a member of theARTs East New York leadership team, the Artist & Retail Market Incubator Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Exec. Director in managing all aspects of their markets business, including attracting and training Market Ambassadors; executing marketing strategy; leading Division of Responsibilities and achieving key business goals.

This unique initiative is the first of its kind, funded by NYC Ecomominc Development Corporation is designed to have an impact in an under served community. We are seeking an individual that will create an outstanding customer experience for our clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drives Business Results

Drives productivity of team to achieve market results.
Community Outreach, Social Media and Marketing.
Monitors sales to ensure labor is utilized to optimize traffic and sales generation.
Supports implementation of merchandising, marketing and promotional strategies.
Ensures team executes operational excellence by engaging customers through in service mindset.
Works closely with leadership team to measure the success of initiatives, market trends and market insights to drive growth. Including but not limited to customer feedback.

Ambassador for the Market and Brand

Represents initiative within their market and has an understanding of our competitors.
Upholds a high-quality market experience for the external and internal customer.
Promotes markets involvement in Community partnership programs.
Builds effective relationships with cross-divisional markets and community partners.

Inspires Team

Energizes team to achieve results.
Attracts and selects high potential talent; assesses for skill and cultural fit.
Accountable for team performance through consistent coaching and feedback.
Creates development plans that support performance and career growth for self and team.

Ensures Compliance

Holds store team and self accountable to all standards of performance..
Ensures compliance to all Federal, Provincial, State, and organizational employment requirements.

Qualifications

1-3 years of retail management experience.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results through motivation, inspiration and accountability.
Established time management skills and effective planning and prioritizing skills.
Ability to communicate well with others and provide clarity to the team about the brand vision and the day-to-day goals.
Has a solid understanding of the business, and applies knowledge to impact the business.
Demonstrates creativity in problem solving.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

College degree or equivalent preferred.
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Ability to maneuver around salesfloor, stockroom and office.
Travel between sites if necessary.
Open availability to meet the needs of the business, including evenings and weekends.
