PURPOSE: To assist the Marketing Manager with management of all single ticket campaigns, with particular responsibility for web content, the SF Opera Lab season, and Opera Center performances.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred) or equivalent work experience
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in marketing, public relations, sales or arts
Knowledge of basic marketing principles including e-marketing, digital advertising, writing, and copy-editing
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Experience with graphic design; digital content creation a plus
Familiarity with CRM programs, Tessitura preferred
Familiarity with WordFly or other e-mail marketing services
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently; prioritize tasks; and exercise good judgment and initiative
Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities successfully
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with artists, staff, the public, and volunteers in an effective, professional, confidential and tactful manner
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
Preferred knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style or Associated Press Style guides
Must perform the functions of the position in a safe manner
Familiarity with operatic repertoire and artists (preferred)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
SF Opera Lab
Develops and edits copy and content for marketing materials in support of the SF Opera Lab season
Research and propose event-specific partnership opportunities
Maintain SF Opera Lab web page(s)
Create e-mail campaigns and develop e-marketing strategies with Marketing Manager, Single Tickets
Creates digital assets for online campaigns, including website and digital advertising
Single Ticket Web Content
Maintains Single Ticket web content for mainstage productions
Primary contact for Webmaster requests
Creates and maintains schedule for single ticket content changes and oversees continual updates
Opera Center
Produces marketing deliverables for Opera Center events, including Adler Gala and Schwabacher Debut Recitals
Facilitates relationships with graphic designers, printers, and mail house
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
