The Global Security Institute is hiring an executive assistant to the president. The assistant will work out of the New York office, located near the United Nations headquarters. This is a fast-paced job that requires a commitment to working for the elimination of nuclear weapons, promoting universal values and the rule of law. It involves working at a high energy level with diligence, focus , intelligence, and patience.
The duties of this position, which requires superb organizational skills, include:
– Maintaining, managing, and arranging the president’s travel, meetings, and event schedule, including daily prioritization and management;
– Maintain a meticulous log of all activities of the president;
– Manage president’s email account, including tracking follow-up and items requiring action;
– Entering new contacts into database;
– Assisting with all communications– email, phone calls, letters, faxes, briefs, memos, position papers etc.;
– File all correspondence (both electronic and paper);
– Daily prioritization of president’s schedule
– Prepare agendas and/or take minutes of meetings;
– Assist with report writing;
– Assist with grant writing and donor tracking, as requested;
– Assist with database management, as requested by office manager;
– Assist with event organizing and execution;
– Assist with social media accounts and website maintenance;
– Assist office manager as required.
