Associate Director of Communications and Admissions
About the Position:
This position is full-time and full-year. The Associate Director of Communications and
Admissions is responsible for creating a school-wide communications and marketing
plan and for ensuring its implementation, enhancing the school’s visibility and reputation
to targeted audiences. This position fully supports the work of the admissions office.
Position Responsibilities:
Communications:
Translate Atrium’s mission, philosophy and values into words and images that promote
the school internally and to the greater community.
Responsible for:
• developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive and integrated
communications strategy and social marketing plan that focuses on short-term
and long-term strategies
• maintain an active and vibrant presence on the school’s website
• assisting Head of School, Directors of Admissions and Development with
publications
• track and provide analytic reporting on marketing efforts
Admissions:
Responsible for:
• creating ads using admissions guidelines
• updating admissions materials
• touring a portion of prospective families
• interviewing a portion of prospective families
• helping to plan for all Open Houses
• updating FAQ’s for current Atrium parents and Board of Trustees
• helping to cultivate relationships with both feeder schools and next schools
• assist the Director of Admissions with the next schools process
• attend admissions fairs
• attending all internal admissions events
Qualifications:
• Outstanding written and communication skills
• Understanding and appreciation of progressive education
• Ability to work in a busy environment
• Ability to plan short and long term
• Strong skills and experience with social and print media
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of constituents
• Strong project management and organizational skills,
including ability to set priorities, manage simultaneous projects,
and complete projects on time
• Experience with Admissions
