Part-Time (25 hours) Communications & Resource Coordinator

ECN is a Michigan non-profit community development organization, with federal 501(c)3 tax exempt status. ECN acts as a catalyst to influence the transformation of Detroit’s Eastside through facilitation, community education and systemic change.

Job Scope

The Communications & Resource Coordinator will contribute to the success of ECN brand awareness and the tracking/measurement of organizational activities by providing direct support relating to data processing, marketing and communications activities. Reporting directly to the Communications and Resources Director, the coordinator will provide data, web management and creative support to the Family of Corporations which include but aren’t limited to.

Job Duties

Data

Data Integration into the LEAP Dashboard in conjunction with partner organizations and design contractor
Develop and maintain relationships with secondary data partners
Data entry projects as needed to ensure community engagement contacts and solicitation contacts are updated in their respective data base management systems
Assist with continuous quality improvement efforts to maintain high level of reliability within the various data archiving systems.
Coordinate the gathering/analysis of program quality feedback data (pre and post) as directed

Marketing/Communications

Develop and maintain content for the family of corporations website’s including press updates, photography, success stories and calendar updates (3 websites)
Managing content and increasing supporter numbers on social networking properties to include Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Manage organizational and project based photo archiving including print and electronic imagery
Maintain and organize ECN’s media archives
Other duties as assigned, including participation in ECN fundraising activities

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Associates Degree in computer science, marketing, communications or equivalent experience
Minimum one-year experience with at least one of the above functions.
Strong computer and internet skills; knowledge and enthusiasm for web-based applications
Strong analytical, verbal and written communications skills
Strong customer focus and a team player
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Donor Perfect, Microsoft Access and Excel preferred
High energy; commitment to social change
Ability to multitask, handle details and work independently
