GlobeIn is based in Menlo Park.

Position Description

The GlobeIn Community Manager will be the face of the company, managing communications in both directions. This digital-savvy employee will be responsible for all communications, including social media, content creation, and most importantly customer relations. The Community Manager will work under the supervision of the Marketing Director and coordinate with the rest of GlobeIn team.

This is a full-time, paid position.

Responsibilities

1. Social media marketing – creating, managing and growing the company’s social media presence, with particular focus Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. 40%

• Managing all corporate social media accounts

• Creating engaging content and beautiful visuals tailored to each platform

• Online community building

4. Customer relations – answering customer inquiries via phone, email or social media channels and managing any online feedback forums. 40%

This position requires an action-oriented, flexible problem-solver who will assist customers with any problems and will go above-and-beyond to make them happy.

3. Content creation – writing blog posts, newsletters, and material for social media channels. 20%

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Good understanding of social media marketing best practices

• Experience using social media channels for business

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail

• Basic graphic design skills (you know how to work with and create beautiful, visually appealing images)

• A good working knowledge of graphic design software: Adobe Photoshop, PicMonkey, Pixlr

• Ability and willingness to learn (new tools, strategies, responsibilities)

• Interest and passion for social entrepreneurship (you know who Muhammad Yunus is)

• Interest in marketing to women (our core audience)

• Willingness to work outside typical 9-5 office hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced research skills and fast learner

• A degree in English/Communications or experience with creative writing

• Creative and flexible with a positive attitude.
