The movement is growing, and so are the demands for our services. The Community Outreach Coordinator will work with people in need and with people who are supporting our efforts in myriad ways. The top candidate will be a committed and compassionate individual, eager to make a commitment to the movement to end poverty. The individual in this position will work with agencies that refer individuals for help, and with businesses and other groups donating or doing clothing drives. The position also includes supervision of the Professional Development Center and of the professional attire and accessories stored on site.

Responsibilities

Work alongside the Community Outreach Director in coordinating drives and overseeing the collection and distribution of professional attire and accessories

Schedule appointments and work closely with those in need of professional attire as they come to the center and make selections

Assist in the growth of our programming by working directly with management personnel to bring our services to new locations

Build and maintain partnerships with community agencies across the region

Communicate effectively with local businesses and other groups to procure the merchandise to be distributed to those we serve

Assist in maintaining relevant areas of our 30,000 square foot warehouse, including all professional clothing and accessories

Qualifications

Demonstrated commitment and passion to join the movement to end poverty

Ability to drive a van to deliver or pick up professional attire and accessories

Ability to handle a fast-paced workday with positive energy while working to inspire others to engage in the movement

Excellent communication skills and ability to speak well about the issues we address
