Position Overview
The Creative Services Manager will be responsible for maintaining and furthering the BBBSLA brand to create awareness, help generate funding and recruit volunteers, which will lead to changing the lives of more children in our community for the better, forever. Your work will range from thought leadership content to digital marketing campaigns, service enhancement tools, event marketing materials, branding assets, training + education tools and strategic corporate messaging documents. The Creative Services Manager will plan, create, and execute BBBSLA’s marketing strategies through multiple channels, such as print and digital advertising, brochures, e-commerce, Web, and events, in a manner that will attract additional awareness, funding and mentors for Big Brothers Big Sisters’ programs.
Essential FunctionsDuties and Responsibilities
Conceptualize and design a wide variety of print and digital collateral including brochures, tribute journals, flyers, event branding, invitations, banners, promotional materials, etc.
Create, deploy, track and analyze high-impact e-blasts and e-newsletters which inform, assist in fundraising and improve overall awareness
Manage BBBSLA social media platforms
Collaborate with internal and external constituents to create compelling stories as well as produce original content for social media that inspire a child, parent, donor or volunteer into action
Keep the BBBSLA website up to date with fresh and relevant content
Serve as a brand ambassador to ensure and maintain a consistent look, brand and message
Work closely with internal teams to collaboratively deliver high-impact ideas across multiple platforms
Negotiate best pricing with vendors while maintaining quality.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Participate on one agency match event committee per year
Functional and Technical Competencies
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
Experience creating and executing online email marketing campaigns and eblasts. Mail Chimp a plus.
Advanced understanding and ability to create print and digital elements to appropriate mechanical specs.
Possess a deep understanding and passion for digital marketing.
Savvy in the social media space with a track record of growing audiences and increasing user engagement
Must have the ability to proactively manage the workflow within the resource allocation
The ability to successfully organize, prioritize and complete multiple projects concurrently on time and within budget, with extreme attention to detail
Must possess the ability work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Clear communicator and compelling storyteller
Ability to work independently, with an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrating outstanding communication, presentation, networking, and organizational skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Team player with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Must have strong interpersonal skills and be capable of communicating effectively with a diverse range of individuals at all professional levels.
Possess broad functional experience in areas of strategic planning + marketing, creative briefs, market research + planning and promotions + advertising
Experience in complex, highly-dynamic environments where the ability to learn quickly and contribute immediately is critical
Ability to communicate clearly, understand diverse viewpoints, build consensus, and provide clear direction to team members
High levels of initiative, drive, and self-motivation
Must be able to manage a frequently shifting workflow + Priorities
Analyze information/analytics and evaluate results to choose or adjust the best solution to reach goals.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising, fine arts or related field.
Experience: 2-3 years
Skills: Experience in creating original content including videos a strong plus. Working knowledge of Dreamweaver and HTML coding a plus. Possess strong graphic design skills and highly adept at visual storytelling and understanding of effective display of hierarchy of information. Manage time lines, work flow, and resources efficiently and be able to quickly re-prioritize assignments on the fly. Possess strong understanding of the time required to move a project from concept to completion. Create creative briefs or strategy statements that are clearly written, pre-approved by key stakeholders and reviewed with the creative team before any work begins. Robust portfolio of elevated work representative of a proven track record of successful design solutions. Ability to create campaigns and translate them across various platforms. Deep understanding of branding and ability to identify and deliver projects that strengthen the BBBS brand

Working Location: Location is based on a percentage of where work time is spent. Indoors-80%. Travel (local) – 20% – job requires local travel.
