Crowdfunding Platform Project Manager
The Community Fund of Darien seeks a Project Manager to help launch an online crowdfunding platform.
Responsibilities:
Work with a committee of staff and volunteers to ensure the development of the technology platform, including day-to-day operations, launch, marketing, gift matching and nonprofit relationships are executed according to plan
Create the business plan and timeline of needed activities and accomplishments to effectively launch the platform
Manage all aspects of nonprofit relations from onboarding of new nonprofits, to “vetting” of quality projects, to posting of projects, to ensure alignment with established criteria
Serve as the liaison with the technology staff to answer user questions
Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of shared “dropbox” for new projects
Verify and approve all thank you letters for distribution to donors
Oversight and execution of marketing plan in accordance with the marketing team’s templates
Oversight of accounting for all financial transactions and fulfillment with Bookkeeper
This position works closely with the Crowdfunding Committee, community volunteers, technology staff and reports to the Executive Director of The Community Fund
Skills:
Experience with a technology start-up business preferred
5-7 years of work experience in corporate project management
experience and an ability to collaborate effectively with volunteers, board members and nonprofit leaders.
Commitment to the goals of the crowdfunding platform and the mission of The Community Fund of Darien
Demonstrated understanding of nonprofit organizations and experience with or willingness to learn the benefits of crowdfunding/using technology to solve social problems
Compensation: Hourly rate with flexible work environment.
