GO Campaign is seeking a passionate, reliable, and motivated individual with a high attention to detail to assist in its Development functions. Under the direction of the Development Manager, you help plan, organize and coordinate fundraising activities and manage and maintain our donor database; tracking all data related funding including corporate and individual gifts and prospect lists. You will be providing critical administrative and operations support in the execution of the organization’s individual and institutional fundraising strategies. This position is ideal for someone interested in growing their experience in nonprofit management, development, and operations. This position reports to the Development Manager.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
DONOR DATABASE MANAGEMENT
Track all incoming donations and necessary reports, prepare and send out all thank you letters to donors.
Manage all donor database matters and maintenance; continually update and correct database records and troubleshoot database issues.
DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION
Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporations, corporate foundations and individual donors. Maintain foundation, corporation and individual donor files.
Participate in planning meetings and contribute to marketing and communications plans for major GO Campaign initiatives.
Assist in research and drafting grant proposals in coordination with Development Manager and Director of Programs.
EVENT PRODUCTION
Assist in events coordination, including but not limited to, auction administration, processing post event transactions and other post event administration.
Prepare and coordinate materials for planning meetings including meeting notices, agendas, handouts, copying, media kits and distributing follow-up materials. Responsible for taking notes during all Development meetings.
Coordinate volunteer involvement for all events including searching for volunteers, composing materials, training day of and all communication pre and post event.
Responsible for collecting outstanding pledges post events, via email correspondence, phone calls and/or mail.
DONOR COMMUNICATION
Assist in drafting and responsible for sending out donor communications, including Project Update letters and monthly eNewsletters.
Coordinate production of other targeted appeals, including annual appeal.
WEBSITE/MARKETING/SOCIAL MEDIA
Work with team to develop new content for website, prepare event pages and assist in preparing project pages to ready them to accept donations.
Upload content onto the website for new projects and regularly update existing content on website via WordPress; responsible for website maintenance.
Create and manage social media content and strategy.
Build and manage social media contacts database and integrate with donor database.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Articulate with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a keen sense of diplomacy.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Ability to consistently maintain a high degree of accuracy and preserve a strict measure of confidentiality.
Database / CRM management experience required – eTapestry or another Blackbaud system preferred.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with Constant Contact preferred.
Proficiency in use of social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of WordPress content management platform.
HTML skills strongly preferred.
Dependable, flexible, self-motivated, learns quickly, anticipates needs with HIGH LEVEL of initiative, and is capable of handling a diverse workload and multiple tasks with accuracy and in a calm and efficient manner and under minimal supervision.
Ability to find the appropriate balance between working within the team environment and working independently.
Reporting to work when scheduled and on time, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Comfort with a playfully professional workplace culture.
Must be available in October and November for annual gala and in December for year-end solicitations.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
