Oregon Supported Living Program is a fast paced and growing Non-Profit that supports adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a full time development director. Minimum of 3 years’ experience, degree in nonprofit business management, business management, marketing or related field preferred. Experience and successful track record in writing and acquiring grants, cultivating and sustaining donors, and board development is a must. Proficiency in development software, Adobe, and Prezi desirable. Must work well with a team. Works under the direct supervision of Executive Director.

Position Overview
A nonprofit development director has a variety of responsibilities and coordinates efforts to increase an organization’s funding base. The director’s main objective is to adhere to a strategic fundraising and development plan to procure funds for an organization while promoting its mission and programs.
Essential Job Functions
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, this position provides agency development support.
Develop and execute OSLP’s annual fundraising plan. Creates and administers fund-raising campaigns.
Research prospective donors, cultivate relationships and solicit financial support from individual donors, foundations, and corporations.
Maintain GiftWorks donor database and oversee staff responsible (Community Relations Specialist) for data entry, gift processing, generating receipts and acknowledging donors.
Manage website content updates and social media campaigns and oversee online content being updated by other staff.
Maintain and develop close working relationship with Board and related committees, including training, follow up, cultivation of prospective Board members, and attendance at Board and committee meetings.
Coordinate fundraising efforts of Executive Director, Board of Directors and other fundraising volunteers.
Produce and distribute marketing materials and quarterly newsletters. Includes graphic design, soliciting content from program directors, staff, community partners and clients, editing content, overseeing printing and mailing of materials or submitting files to publications, adhering to deadlines and technical requirements.
Oversee organization of special events, including logistical planning, marketing, sponsorships, and volunteer management.
Coordinate all grant writing activities, including researching funders, formulating project plans and budgets in collaboration with Executive Director, program directors and Finance Director, write grant applications and reports and supervise contracted and volunteer grant writers.
Collaborate with various program staff to deliver informative presentations to the public with confidence and professionalism.
Network with local business owners/managers, other nonprofits and individuals. Coordinate donor cultivation events.
Deals with a diverse group of internal/external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization.
