Digital Media Manager – Voto Latino – Washington, DC

Voto Latino is looking for a Digital Media Manager to join the team. This role will work closely with the VP of All Things Digital in the Washington, DC office. We are looking for a driven Digital Media Manager, who will take a leading role with the creation, editing and posting of content to support Voto Latino strategies as well as take part in social media engagement.

Selection Criteria:

Minimum 2-3 years of online communications experience
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or related field

Requirements:

Proven working experience in social media or related field
Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text) and communication skills
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Experience maintaining and managing organizational social networking accounts (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google +, etc.)
Adequate knowledge of web design and web development
Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational skills
Self-motivated, fast and independent learner
Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
Experience creating online ads (FB, Google ads, etc)
Experience in growing audience/boosting audience engagement
Need understanding of measurement tools like simply measured, or others
Basic Photoshop and/or development skills are a plus

Responsibilities

Build and execute social media strategy through research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images or video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
Assist in the development and implementation of editorial calendars
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, identify potential partnerships/key players and coordinate actions
