Donor Development Strategies LLC (DDS) seeks individuals looking to help grow membership, build relationships, and fundraise on behalf of our local PBS station, San Diego Public Television (KPBS). DDS is changing the face of community outreach on a national level by actively engaging prospective donors in their community with our innovative door-to-door model. Through community-based fundraising, we are best able to develop meaningful and sustaining members for PBS, the oldest and largest non-profit media outlet in America.

Our staff drive awareness of public television programming and mission while raising essential funds for KPBS by delivering polished membership appeals right at the doorsteps of prospective donors. We provide paid training and continue to develop communication, leadership, and analytic skills of each staff member throughout their work with us.

The position is ideal for new graduates, those with an interest in non-profit, fundraising, or development fields, or for those who are switching disciplines. Successful applicants will learn the basics of membership-building and fundraising, and will be encouraged to develop a voice within our company to continue to improve and expand the work we do. Those who wish to work in a dynamic and evolving environment while being connected to a powerhouse legacy public media organization are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to candidates with community outreach or door-to-door experience.

The ideal candidate is a confident and friendly communicator with abundant energy, is familiar with PBS and it’s programming, and is eager to interact directly with tpt audiences via a grassroots approach. Drivers are needed! Generous milage reimbursements are paid!

Candidates can expect to make between $10-20/hr. Health, vision and dental benefits package is provided.
