Executive Director – India Cultural Center of Greenwich – Greenwich, CT

Position Description

Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director will be responsible for the operational success of ICC, ensuring program delivery and overall organization administration. The Executive Director will be the key external face of ICC in the community. The successful candidate will develop, sustain and enhance ICC programs and partnerships in the community.

Responsibilities

▪ Program Development, Management & Execution

o Program Development & Management: Work with Board of Directors and Program Committees to decide on strategy and format of various programs

o Program Execution: Organize and execute all programs from A to Z to include but not limited to venue, vendors, marketing, payment

o Marketing & Communication: Market programs and events via various channels including social media

▪ Organization Administration: Work with outside accountants, legal and technology vendors to oversee organization accounting, legal and web/social media outreach

▪ Resource Management: Hire and leverage volunteers and paid interns and consultants to help in execution

▪ Budget: Manage budget for the overall organization and for individual programs with Board guidance

▪ Membership: Increase membership and participation in programs

▪ Partnership: Cultivate partnerships with local organizations, leveraging partner’s resources and marketing channels

▪ Fundraising: Develop strategies and foster relationships to help raise funds for ICC

Qualifications

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual with management experience to grow and further develop a proven program. Specific requirements include:

▪ Minimum of a Bachelors Degree, Masters degree preferred

▪ 3 – 5 years of experience in a program management role

▪ Interest in and passion for Indian arts and culture

▪ Proven project management skills and ability to manage complex, multifaceted programs

▪ Strong people management skills – ability to work with senior accomplished people on the Board, ability to manage multiple vendors and partners and ability to oversee volunteers and interns.

▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details

▪ Strong technology skills – interest and understanding in social media

▪ Superior analytical ability to manage the details of a multi-faceted organization
