We currently work with 12 core partners across 7 countries on a daily basis (Ecuador, Kenya, Malaysian Borneo, Nicaragua, Peru, Philippines, Thailand/Myanmar)—many of these relationships are entering their second decade. Green Empowerment also engages local and regional governments and a diverse constituency of volunteers, universities, civic groups, and businesses to expand projects, broaden skill-sets, and mobilize resources for our NGO partners. Over the last 18 years, this approach has resulted in 25,000 people with clean electricity in their homes, 22,000 with clean water to drink, over 228,000 people with access to clinics and schools powered by renewable energy, and 2,579 acres of tropical rainforests and watersheds conserved.
