The Alliance for Climate Education (ACE) has a mission to educate and activate high school students to strengthen and sustain the climate movement. Since 2008, ACE has educated 1.9 million high school students nationwide, and empowered over 300,000 youth to take action in their personal lives, in their schools, and as leaders in the broader community.
ACE is at an exciting point in its development: In 2014 we increased revenue by 60%, brought on three new board members, and refined our programmatic strategy. We are poised to move from startup phase into expansion, and seek a dynamic communications and marketing professional to serve as our Marketing Associate. This position’s primary focus will be organizational promotion, with a special focus on donor and student alumni communications.
ACE accomplishes its mission through two program areas. ACE’s Education Program includes delivering the award-winning ACE Assembly to high school students. The ACE Assembly combines climate science with cutting-edge animation and storytelling to create an in-person experience that educates and inspires. ACE’s Action Program includes mentoring high school Action Fellows and leading workshops where students develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to be lifelong climate leaders. ACE also supports high school teachers to master climate and energy science standards through best-in-class resources and professional development opportunities. Learn more about our programs at acespace.org.
ACE is data-centric and tech-savvy, nimble and creative, passionate and results-oriented. ACE has a current staff of 19, an annual budget of $1.8 million, and maintains local programs in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Reno, New York City, Raleigh/Charlotte, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
The Marketing Associate will be part of a small, skillful Communications Team and report directly to the Communications Director.
