The Marketing and Business Development team provides leadership and coordination of all marketing functions. It develops, implements, and evaluates marketing strategies and tactics in support of association-wide goals and initiatives. The department is responsible for growing revenue streams by promoting products, services and programs; identifying new product opportunities; identifying and valuing specific target audiences; driving comprehensive marketing and branding initiatives; developing and nurturing strategic alliances, identifying and analyzing market data; enhancing organization’s image and broadening its appeal to new and more diverse market segments; and ensuring that marketing activities are aligned with organizational goals.
Your role –
As Marketing Coordinator, you are accountable for tasks and deliverables integral to the Association’s overall marketing strategy. You are charged with implementing marketing initiatives for publication products. Additionally, your role will encompass the design of production-ready art primarily for publication products and services as well as the design of production-ready art for conferences, non-CLE events, membership materials, advocacy, and other department requests as needed.
We expect your project workload to focus on implementing marketing plans and initiatives (45%), design of marketing materials (45%), and departmental assistance (10%).
Your background –
Our team needs a savvy, dedicated, motivated, results-oriented marketing professional. To perform successfully in this role, our idea candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or design; and 2-3 years design experience. Some experience in marketing and copy writing is required. Experience in an association environment, tradeshow marketing and/or sales experience is a plus.
Candidates have an understanding of marketing; excellent copy writing, proofreading and editing skills; experience working with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and converting design files to production-ready art; willingness to develop an acute understanding of AILA’s products and services; proficiency in Microsoft Office; and working knowledge of HTML.
