POSITION SUMMARY
UCP Wheels for Humanity is seeking an experienced, driven, and dynamic Marketing & Development Manager who will be responsible for growing the base of individual donors. UCP Wheels has an important and tangible mission that we want to share with as many individuals as possible. The Marketing & Development Manager will lead the marketing, communications and event strategy / implementation with the goal to increase the number of individual donors who support the organization. The position will supervise one staff and report directly to the Executive Director. The goal is for this position to grow into a greater leadership role within UCP Wheels over the coming years.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead organizational strategy and implementation to expand the number of engaged constituents through speaking events, strategic marketing, partnerships, social media and events
Support the creation of key messages and develop communications plans to increase the organization’s visibility
Achieve individual donor goal of approximately $600k through major gifts, special events, direct mail, and website/email/social media campaigns
Lead the organizations rebranding roll-out including the launch of new logo, branding guidelines, creation of marketing materials and website refresh
Work in partnership with UCP Wheels’ four international offices to ensure consistent messaging, branding and cross promotion through social media
Develop and execute a well-designed stewardship plan for various donor levels
Oversee the annual fundraising event planning committee and manage the execution of the organization’s signature event
Oversee the creation of all organizational materials and publications including solicitation campaigns and letters, brochures and newsletters, press releases, blogs, event-related materials, web, and social media content
Develop and manage a support staff to coordinate activities including gift processing, events and external relations
Regularly provide verbal, written, quantitative, and qualitative fund development and communications analyses, briefings, and recommendations to the Executive Director and Board of Directors
Qualifications
4-6 years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising
Experience in leading individual fundraising strategies including online marketing, mail campaigns, social media and events
Past experience working for an international organization (strongly preferred)
Skilled writer with experience in building organizational messaging
Experience supervising staff
Experience developing and maintaining productive working relationships with board members, donors, and partners
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work as a leader and as part of a team
Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge (a plus)
BA (required), MA (a plus)
