SMART Intern

The Center for Social Change houses an innovative, rapidly expanding co-working space for nonprofits and businesses with a social purpose. We help amplify the impact of the good people making change in Miami through our collaborative workspace, programs and events. Your work here has the potential to reach a huge variety of people in need by supporting those who are helping them.

We are flexible in creating a custom internship that will provide you with the experiences you crave and the work we need. We also have a wellness program including weekly yoga and meditation that will be free to you.

Below are the specific activities we have outlined for a SMART intern, however if you would like to mix and match from the other internship descriptions, let us know. We can create a custom package that develops your skills and accommodates your schedule.

Marketing

Assist in the implementation of an integrated marketing and communications plan to drive membership and obtain community partners
Assist in the research and purchasing of promotional items
Create calendar invites and event pages (Eventbrite, Facebook)
Manage, categorize and upload pictures
Generate and post content on social media
Engage audience on social media
Create HTML e-mails

Graphic Design

Assist in the creation or modification of flyers, pdfs or any other items that need design work
Assist in the potential re-branding process including the creation of logos and other marketing material

Light tech Support

Help with printer, internet, projector
Teach staff/co-working members how to use tech
Assist with implementation of Slack and Salesforce

Internship Schedule and Other Details:

Minimum of 5 hours per week, preferably completed during normal business hours (9-5pm) at our physical office.

Minimum commitment of 1 semester (fall, spring, summer).

Note this is an unpaid internship; however, if this will be a challenge for you, please let us know and we can discuss a needs-based stipend.
