The mission of the National Association of Women Lawyers is to provide leadership, a collective voice, and essential resources to advance women in the legal profession and advocate for the equality of women under the law. Primary Duties
Supports both the Program Director and the Marketing & Development Director
Drafts and sends eBlasts and other communications materials
Travels to and helps manage approximately three conferences a year
Designs promotional materials, including graphic design and content, for programs and initiatives
Drafts press releases and media kits and develops relationships with media contacts
Coordinates with Program Director, Membership & Publications Coordinator, Marketing & Development Director, Executive Director and committees to develop marketing materials, as well as onsite materials for programs and events
Assists with redesign of website
Updates website copy and creates banner ads for programs and initiatives
Supports Affinity Groups, Diversity Committee, Public Relations Committee, and Legislative Committee as staff liaison
Handles social media marketing
Creates marketing videos/presentations
Develops relationships with other like-minded organizations and creates liaison programs and co-sponsorship relationships
Coordinates regional and online programming, including Nights of Giving
Supports large conference planning and logistics
Education
Must have bachelor’s degree from a four-year university. Training or experience in law-related fields and/or non-profit management desired. Masters in Marketing, Communications, PR, Non-profit management or similar field of study preferred. At least 3 years of experience in marketing or meeting planning and experience in legal or non-profit field preferred.
Skills and Abilities Preferred
Experience using graphic design programs
Excellent written, oral and communications skills
Prior customer service experience.
Proven ability to work productively on a team and maintain positive relationships with staff, volunteers, sponsors, and members of a Board of Directors
Experience in developing press releases
Excellent organizational skills.
Experience in website design and maintenance, HTML experience preferred, as well as managing other internet-based communication applications (Constant Contact, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
Technical skills to include: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and Adobe Creative Suite.
