The Assistant Director is repsonsible for the direct supervision of all programming and all program staff. S/he will review all program reporting and be the point of contact for submitting reports to funders. S/he will work closely witht he client database in reviewing client issues, trends and progress.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:
-Provide quality direct supervision, feedback, and evaluation to all program staff
-Direct Supervision of program coordinators
-Maintain a supportive and positive, communicative, and culturally competent work environment
-Oversee accurate program data collection and maintenance (Quality Assurance)
-Review and implement program guidelines and reporting
-Prepare and submit high quality and timely reports to funders
-Proposal writing- grant seeking
-Develop, maintain, and/or revise efficient office management systems
-Organize weekly staff meetings and trainings
-Maintain direct, frequent and effective communication with executive director
-Manage programming budgets
-Review program data base
-Work with program staff on fundraising activities
-Represent Voces Latinas in meetings and forums in an utmost professional manner
– Provide presentations to providers community, regarding programs and services
-Keep abreast of HIV, Violence Against Women, and Immigration issues
-Other duties as required
–Curriculum development and facilitating trainings a PLUS
QUALIFICATIONS:
-M.A. in social work, public health, social services and 3 or more years of experience in related work
-Proposal writing experience a MUST
-Culturally competent leadership skills in a social service setting
– Extensive experience in community service
-Ability to delegate and hold accountability
-Strong conflict management skills
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Well organized and attentive to detail
-Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
-Ability to interact with individuals in a diverse environment
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Receptive to constructive feedback
-Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
-Willing to learn and be flexible
-Experience with Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Preferred
-Bilingual (Spanish and English) A MUST
