Washington Nonprofits seeks an enthusiastic, resourceful technical professional for our Database Coordinator. Washington Nonprofits is implementing a new Salesforce database integrated with an event registration system, bulk email and our website. The Coordinator will be the primary administrator for the database and be responsible for data management and internal customer service. The position is ideal for a self-starter with experience in a variety of constituent relationship management platforms. Supports: Staff in education, engagement and public policy program teams
Hours: Fulltime, salaried position

Salary Range: $32,000 – $39,000

Responsibilities:
Manage, maintain and enhance online database
Execute regular data uploads of nonprofit information including annual lists and external customer request for changes.
Insure accuracy and integrity of all contact, organization, donor and membership data; implementing standard procedures and quality control mechanisms as necessary;
Perform data entry and oversees the data entry process; recommends and implements policies, procedures and guidelines for data entry when necessary
Suggest process and procedure improvements and participate in planning of future upgrades and technology enhancements.
Provide exceptional internal customer service
Support other staff needs for reports, data and changes to database processes.
Be responsible for user account maintenance, system documentation, and internal support functions.
Create and run existing and new reports as requested.
Run monthly membership reports, update member email lists, calculate total members and renewal rates and update dashboards.
Run evaluation reports on learning and policy programs
Run regular mailing list updates, and create new mailing list as needed
Analyze member and nonmember activity rates and report to program teams
Provide detailed evaluation and research reports
Carry out administrative and support tasks related to data collection, management and analysis of primary research surveys, evaluations and membership feedback
Prepare documents for various internal and external audiences
Participate in organization-wide data strategy setting and implementation
Work with executive director and department directors to implement strategies that enhance Washington Nonprofits use of data
Suggest ways the existing data can be analyzed to give further insight
Be a valuable team member
Participate as a team member in advancing the mission of Washington Nonprofits
Support events, trainings and conferences with data needs and basic logistics
Qualifications
Strong technical experience
Experience in an internal customer service role with a proven ability to understand user needs and successfully implement solutions
Experience with a Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems that has led to a concrete conceptual understanding of how they work
Good database manipulation skills including data entry, uploading, running and analyzing reports
Strong ability to create new reports based on a given criteria
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills including scanning and creating PDF documents
Nonprofit passion and experience
Understanding of principles and strategies in philanthropy and nonprofits
Experience with nonprofit data needs and management
Understanding of evaluation strategies including setting up and analyzing surveys
Strong customer service work habits
Good verbal and written communications skills with the ability to ask clarifying questions and report in a timely and coherent manner
Well-organized work habits with the ability to pay attention to details and to take on multiple tasks at once and execute them in priority order
Self-starter who is able to initiate actions within your control
