Development Assistant – Catholic Community Foundation of Los Angeles

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: An entry level position, the Development Assistant reports to the Executive Director and supports the planning, organizing, and implementation of all CCF-LA’s client development and management efforts includingthe Donor Advised Fund and other programs for individuals, the Agency Fund relationships with organizations and the gift planning products spanning multiple generations. Development Assistant works with the Development Team to support all staff as needed.

MAJOR DUTIES OF POSITION:

Using the internet and other available research resources, complete assigned research project on clients and prospects.

Maintain current and accurate files for all prospects in Blackbaud

Manage email communications for the development team, ensuring timely filing into the database, electronic and hard files.

Create cultivation lists based on parameters provided

Keep the master calendar of the development team, scheduling appointments.

Keep a follow up system on all action items.

Support special events as assigned.

As directed, create standard PowerPoint presentations for client meetings.

Attend staff meetings, as required

Perform other related duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor’s degree with demonstrated research and writing skills
A team player, high energy and passionate about the mission of CCF-LA and the Church
Sensitive to confidential information and the needs of those served by the CCF-LA
Be a “self-starter” and goal driven to achieve individual and team objectives

Relational data base experience is very helpful

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Driving an automobile

Lifting up to 20 pounds (files, computers, mailings, etc.)

Sitting for extended periods at a computer
