The Development and Events Assistant reports to the West Coast Director. Office is located in Santa Monica, CA.
Responsibilities:
– West Coast office manager with responsibilities that include: answering phones, preparing mailings, follow up calls to donors and prospects, stocking office supplies.
-Event planning including coordination with vendors, tracking and following up with guests, invitation and save the date mailings, etc.
-Database entry and constant contact maintenance
-Preparing and mailing acknowledgement letters, condolence letters, etc.
-research on new donors and prospects
Qualifications:
The right candidate will have some experience in at least one of the following areas: the arts, non-profits, fundraising, special events or the Jewish community but an experienced executive assistant from the corporate world should also apply.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including excel and ideally some past experience with database management.
It is essential that you are comfortable working independently in a small office, are highly motivated and detail oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
