General Description:
Under the supervision of the Digital Media and Technology Pathways (DMTP) Manager, the DMTP Administrative Assistant is a .5FTE position responsible for supporting implementation of the pathway initiative, aimed at connecting 18-24 year old out-of-school youth to postsecondary educational and career opportunities. Broad duties will include assisting with assessment, enrollment and exiting of program participants according to funding policies; managing client records in a variety of databases; contributing to reports on program deliverables; providing general administrative support; supporting instruction staff on quality delivery of Berkeley City College (BCC) digital media curricula, including leading classroom activities where needed; contributing to working with program participants individually and in small groups to provide additional academic support as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, assess, and enroll DMTP Program participants
Provide additional support to DMTP students to improve their training and education experiences
Assist in coordination of data collection processes for the DMTP Program
Attend required DMTP Program-related trainings, meetings, and workshops
Other duties as identified by supervisor
Work Experience Requirements:
A proven track record of administrative support, including excellent written and verbal communication, data entry and database management, electronic and hard file management
Professional history of successful classroom facilitation
CalJOBS system knowledge preferred but not required
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s level candidate preferred
Position/Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with experience and skills.
