The Inspiration Consciousness School and Community (www.inspirationcommunity.org) is looking for a skillful Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant capable of balancing multiple needs to support the community’s Founder/Director. This contractual, position is available for 5-8 weeks and is suited for a high-level executive seeking a time-limited role.
Inspiration is a holistic wellness center and nonprofit organization dedicated to personal, planetary, and relational wellness. We offer ongoing courses and special programs designed to facilitate spiritual and emotional journeys, personal and relational transformation, and incorporating transformational modalities such as Breathwork, active meditations, integration of wisdom teachings, and group work. Offerings are provided locally, nationally, and internationally and are spearheaded by the Founder/Director.
The Founder/Director is responsible for working with the Board to manage and direct the nonprofit organization, the spiritual and emotional care of program participants and community members, and the initiation of wide-ranging courses and programs offered locally, nationally, and internationally. The Executive/Personal Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Founder/Director in the implementation of each of these areas as well as in meeting her personal daily obligations to ensure the smooth functioning of her life.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills and/or personal characteristics:
Capacity to work in direct, collaborative contact
Sound judgment, patience, generosity, kindness, and a love of people and animals.
Self-initiator with excellent time management skills, who is self-directed and motivated while also able to attend to details and follow directions as provided
Have a background in administration, counseling, nondenominational spiritual direction, and/or human resources, with experience in any of the following: integrative or holistic health, personal growth, breathwork, yoga, meditation, and consciousness studies.
An innovative, energetic personality. We are seeking someone who is happy with her/his own contribution in the world but would feel enthusiastic to help an established and pioneering consciousness school expand into the world. The capacity to build professional liaisons with traditional and nontraditional communities and settings is a must.
Responsibilities:
Communications and Marketing
Maintain daily school operations by responding to emails and phone calls with efficiency, confidentiality and sensitivity. Receive student concerns, questions, and feedback by email and phone and respond as appropriate, or refer to spiritual director.
Develop and distribute marketing materials, compile handouts, and update social media.
Serve as a liaison between students, volunteers, practitioners, other faculty, Board of Directors, and staff
Excellent dictation skills a must
Coordination
Schedule meetings and classes, and maintain an up-to-date course catalog
Provide direct support to the Spiritual Director, staff, guides, and practitioners in preparation for courses, sessions, and events
Provide logistical support for on- and off-site Inspiration Community events
Organize and maintain office supplies and equipment , manage paperwork, written and electronic files
Maintain efficient and accurate records which could include, but is not limited to, Excel database
Set up classroom spaces, register attendees, create and/or update databases, collect tuition, etc.
Personal Assistant
Up to 8 hours a week will be errands and moderate housekeeping.
Prepare budgets, using QuickBooks accounting files
Research grant and other funding opportunities, write fundraising solicitations and supporting materials, and coordinate fundraising events
Compensation
This is a contracted position at $20/hour for 200 hours over 5-8 weeks; contractor will be responsible for personal tax withholding. No benefits available.
