Passionate about creating systems to engage parents, caregivers, and families? Join Youth & Opportunity United as a Family Engagement Assistant VISTA!

Youth & Opportunity United closes the opportunity gap by preparing youth for post-secondary and life success. VISTA members help to ensure that children have the supports needed for their academic and social-emotional success in school and break the of the cycle of poverty.The Family Engagement VISTA Project will build the capacity of Y.O.U. to develop resources and assessments that support parents of youth participants and enhance organizational parental engagement strategies to meet the needs of students and their families.

VISTA will identify, engage, and form supports and strategies for parents and caregivers of youth in out-of-school programs in alignment with identified needs. They will develop and implement a communications plan for Family Engagement that reaches partner organizations, school stakeholders, community leaders, and funders.

The service term starts November 6th, 2017 and runs through November 5th, 2018.
