The successful candidate will demonstrate a majority of the following skills, abilities & experience:
Associate Degree and 2 years of relevant Human Resources experience. Experience as a human resources assistant preferably in nonprofit, human service, or behavioral health setting. Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism.
Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to proofread and edit business documents.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Demonstrated basic knowledge of legal requirements for employment, safety, accommodations, benefits, compensation, personnel records and diversity.
Excellent word processing and computer skills including demonstrated skills using HRIS, Word and Excel.
Demonstrated respect for diversity and commitment to developing multicultural competency sensitivity.
