Media Intern – Global Girl Media

Summer Internship at Non-profit Focused on Empowering Young Women

Seeking a short-term or long term non-paid Intern/volunteer for Global Girl Media, Global Girl Media is a non-profit dedicated to empowering high school age girls from under-served communities globally through media, leadership and new media journalistic training. Start Date: May 15<sup style=”font-family: Calibri;”>th</sup> through August 1, 2017.

We are seeking volunteer interns who can help with the following:
a) Help with graphic design and web design, social marketing research and planning. Knowledge of how to use twitter, google, facebook, wordpress, mashable, etc.
b) Volunteer Editor who is accomplished on Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere, loves to edit short, fun, upbeat newsworthy videos for a youth audience
c) Help with mentoring young women in writing: blogs, articles, research, etc.
d) General Office duties

This is great opportunity for someone interested in media, journalism, global issues and women and girls’ rights/issues, getting experience and who wants to connect with seasoned female writers, journalists, documentary filmmakers and multimedia makers.

1) Culver City, Los Angeles (office) and LA HIGH SCHOOL (training location)
2) Bay Area (remote office) and Mexican Consulate, San Francisco (training location)
